GOOLE, BEAL, INGS LANE – Cable section to replace 11Kv overhead line near ponds. GINP
Scheme Note – YP06946
The existing 11kV overhead line near Ings Lane Beal PMAR  S/S 8711 crosses a section of pond. The position of the line does not provide the necessary safety clearances where the line crosses the pond. A section of 11kVmain line has been disconnected from the tee off pole W959/11 to the existing Ings Lane Beal PMAR to maintain a safe side.
The disconnection on the 11kV network leaves 287 customers with no alternative feed. This section of network has had 6 faults since mid January 2007 ranging in time from 46 mins to 10 hours 27 mins. This section is also required to support the 11kV network during other faults on the network.
Scheme YP05059 was raised to replace the section of 11kV overhead line with cable. The route indentified failed to obtain the necessary Wayleave consent.
This scheme replaces the original scheme. It is proposed to install 920m of 185Al 11kV cable along a new route which has been agreed with the adjacent land owner. A separate application has been made to the Environment Agency to obtain the necessary permissions to install the new cable. The initial scheme will be cancelled and the associated costs transferred to the new scheme.
A Wayleave release will be sent to the Construction Department on receipt of the agreement from the Environment Agency and the completed signed Wayleave documentation. The route contains private water pipes and drains.
The location sites for all of the work are shown on the attached plans, 11kV System Diagram and 11kV Geographic System Map.
